I think it's more than just the ferts and root tabs that's making everything thrive in your tank.

Your water must be doing something right, I mean the plants are going crazy and even the cories seem really happy.

I'm not sure littleking, maybe it's the water, but my Dad's got the same setup as me and his plants are thriving too, even though he's on a different supply. His water's slightly harder and lower in phosphates, so it's not just the water.
This tank's a breeding ground, cories popping up every month or so, plants spreading everywhere, and mystery eggs on leaves. I must be doing something right, I just wish I knew what it was!

I've got a tank that's just thriving - cories breeding like crazy, plants sprouting everywhere, and mystery eggs on leaves. Whatever I'm doing, it's working, but I'm still clueless what the magic ingredient is.

I think we're often too hard on ourselves, littleking - I'm sure your tanks are thriving in their own way, it's just our own perceptions that make us doubt.

The centre one is an amazon sword - it's been a real showstopper in my tank, especially with those three flower stems. I'm not sure about the reflection though, I think it might just be a trick of the light, but it does look a bit like a WW1 soldier, doesn't it?
