Man, I hate when this happens. Had to deal with it in my planted 10 gallon. Took forever to clear up. You got any snails or shrimp in there? They can help keep the debris down.

Cloudy water is usually harmless but ugly. Just give it time. If your fish aren't stressed, it's probably fine. My Betta tank did the same thing when I added floaters.
