Don't forget to save some of your filter media to kickstart the cycle in the new tank. And maybe do a water change a day before to ensure clean water for the trip.

Solid advice. Also, keep the tank setup simple at first. Don't rush to rescape until everything's stable.

Thanks for all the tips, everyone. I'll definitely use the battery pumps and save the filter media. Drive's about 2 hours, so I'll pack carefully.
