Also, check the O-rings. If they're worn out, the filter might lose prime and shut off. Had that happen with my old canister.

Good call on the O-rings. Mine were shot after a year. Replaced 'em and it ran like new. Cheap fix if that's the issue.

If none of that works, might be time to hit up Fluval's customer service. They're pretty chill about replacements if it's under warranty.

Another thought: is the filter near a window? Temperature drops at night might be affecting it. Just a wild guess.

Yep, O-rings are often overlooked. Cheap and easy to replace, too.
