Something's wrong
Re: Something's wrong
He's looking a bit more lively tonight, turned the temp up a notch to 28-29 and cranked up the skimmer, now I'm emptying it daily. He seems better, fingers crossed. Thanks for the input guys, appreciate the help.
Re: Something's wrong
Good luck with the ich battle. 28-29 degrees worked for me during a whitespot outbreak, and I also fed a lot of garlic-rich food. I've been meaning to try Spirulina, seems like everyone's raving about it, and it's great that it's enriched in brine. Have a great holiday, and when you're back, pop by Sanders and see if there's any positive changes. I'm trying to get some input going, so fingers crossed.
Re: Something's wrong
That last bit about the goby getting cleaned against his will had me chuckling. My cleaner shrimps, on the other hand, are pretty chill during the day, but once the lights go out, they're like little ninjas, darting around and jumping all over my fish.
Floral9, I've got a question for you - where's your tang right now? Is it still in the main tank or did you manage to get it into a QT? Because if it's still in the display tank, raising the temperature is only going to speed up the ich life cycle and increase the chances of reinfection. But if it's in the QT, then it's a different story - you can raise the temps in both tanks, as long as the QT water is medicated or in hyposalinity.
