Haha, true. But once you figure out their vibe, it's smooth sailing. Mostly.

Mine died. No idea why. Params were perfect. Sometimes they just bail.

That's rough, virus. Sometimes it's just bad luck. Did you dip it before adding? Could've been pests or something sneaky.

Yeah, pests are a silent killer. Always dip new corals, no exceptions. Even if they look clean, you never know.

For real. I lost a whole colony to flatworms once. Now everything gets a Bayer dip before it touches my tank.

Bayer's the way to go. Harsh but effective. Just rinse well after. Learned that the hard way when my fish got sketchy after a dip.

Alk was at 7 dKH, so I'm bumping it up slowly. Also moved the coral to a higher-flow area. Fingers crossed!
