I've been using eco-complete. It's got all the nutrients, and it's super easy to work with. My bettas are in a 5-gallon and a 10-gallon, both with eco-complete and low-tech plants. No complaints so far.

Eco-complete's a solid choice. I've got it in my 15-gallon, and the plants are loving it. Plus, it's got a nice dark color that makes the fish pop. My betta's always exploring the nooks and crannies.

I'm team gravel all the way. Cheap, easy, and it gets the job done. My betta's in a 5-gallon with a sponge filter, and he's happy as can be. Maybe not the fanciest option, but it works for me.

Gravel's fine if you're not into plants, but it's a pain to clean. I switched to sand a while back, and it's been a game-changer. My betta's in a 10-gallon with sand, a sponge filter, and some java moss. He's always digging around in it.

I've been using black sand in my 5-gallon. It looks sleek, and my betta seems to like it. No plants, just a simple setup with a hang-on-back filter. Easy to maintain, and the fish is happy.

Black sand's a great choice. It's easy to clean, and it makes the colors of the fish stand out. My betta's in a 10-gallon with black sand, a canister filter, and some anubias. Works like a charm.

I've been using sand in my Betta tanks for years, but I'm curious if there's a better option. What's everyone else using? I've got a 10-gallon with a sponge filter, 78°F, and live plants. My fish seems happy, but I wanna make sure I'm not missing out on something better.
Sand's a solid choice, especially if you're not running CO2. It's easy to clean, and it's gentle on the fish's fins. I've got a 10-gallon with sand, and my betta's been thriving.

I just use gravel, man. Easy to clean, and it's cheap. My tank's a 5-gallon with a hang-on-back filter, no plants, just some driftwood. Fish seems chill, but maybe I should switch it up?
Gravel's fine for a simple setup, but if you ever wanna add plants, you'll wanna switch to something with more nutrients. Aquasoil's a bit pricier, but it's worth it if you're serious about plants.
