I've used both methods, and they work equally well. Just depends on whether you wanna mess with tying knots or not. Either way, the shrimp won't care.

Super glue gel is the way to go, imo. No fuss, no muss. Just glue it and forget it. My shrimp tank's got Anubias glued to all the hardscape, and it looks dope. Plus, the shrimp love climbing all over it.
