Mine did this when I switched foods. Went back to their old beef heart mix and they stopped. Maybe try a different diet for a bit?

Interesting point. Tigercub, what are you feeding? Some pellets float too long and make them linger at the top. Sinking pellets or frozen might help.

My cat does this thing where she stares at the tank for hours. Think she's hypnotizing them?
