Or just take 'em with you. Kidding! Sorta. I knew a guy who transported his Discus in a cooler for a road trip. Wild stuff. But yeah, auto feeder + water change before/after is the way. Tank's 40 gallons, no CO2, just easy plants.

If you've got a trusted buddy, have 'em peek at the tank once or twice. Mine texted me pics when I was gone, which was clutch. Tank's 75 gallons, planted, with a HOB filter. No disasters yet, knock on wood.

Honestly, Discus are tougher than people think. I left mine for 10 days with zero prep once (don't judge), and they were fine. Tank's 55 gallons, with a cheap internal filter. Not recommending that, but hey, sometimes we overthink it.
