I've had both covered and uncovered tanks. Personally, I prefer covered for the reasons mentioned. Less maintenance overall, and peace of mind knowing my fish won't end up on the floor.

Same here. Covers are a game-changer. Plus, they keep the water cleaner longer since less debris gets in. Win-win.

Just be careful with heavy covers. Some can trap heat if you're using a heater. I've had issues with overheating in smaller tanks.

Good point. Always monitor temps when you first add a cover. Adjust your heater if needed.

I love how covers keep the tank looking tidy. No more random stuff falling in, and my betta seems less stressed with the added security.
