Exactly. Bettas are labyrinth fish, so they need easy access to the surface. A long tank with a gentle filter is perfect for them.

My betta's in a 5-gallon long, and he's super happy. He's always swimming around, checking out his plants. Tall tanks just don't give them enough room to move.

Long tanks are better for bettas. They need the space to swim and explore. Tall tanks limit their movement and can cause stress.

I concur. A 5-gallon long tank with a heater and filter is the best setup for bettas. It mimics their natural habitat and promotes healthy behavior.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone. I'm gonna go with a 5-gallon long tank. Sounds like it's the best option for my betta.
