Anyone tried kalkwasser? My LFS swears by it for steady alk, but I'm sketched out by the pH spike potential. 55-gallon with softies and a couple Montis.

Kalk's chill if you drip it slow. I run it overnight with a Tunze osmolator. pH stays under 8.4, alk's locked at 8.1. 75-gallon, mostly LPS.
