For real, plants don't change overnight. Give it time and tweak as needed. You got this.

Also, keep an eye on algae when you increase light and ferts. Sometimes it's a balancing act. If algae shows up, dial back a bit or add some floating plants to shade the Hygrophila.

Trimming helps a ton. Every time I cut mine back, it comes back thicker. Don't be afraid to prune it hard if it's looking sparse.
