Long-term, you might wanna invest in an ATO. Evaporation can mess with salinity, especially in smaller tanks. They're not too pricey and save a lot of hassle. How's your room temp? Stable temps are key.

Yeah, ATOs are game-changers. I got a cheap one off eBay, and it's been solid. Also, keep an eye on your magnesium. Softies don't care much, but it affects alkalinity stability. What salt mix are you using again?

Second the ATO. Even a DIY one with a float valve can work. For temp, a basic heater with a guard is fine. Just avoid the super cheap ones. They're notorious for failing.

If you're gonna DIY an ATO, make sure you've got a fail-safe. Flooding your floor is not a vibe. Also, what's your photoperiod? Too much light and you'll get algae, too little and your corals will sulk.

Thanks again, everyone! Lots to think about. Gonna start with the powerhead and test kit, then maybe an ATO down the line. Appreciate all the advice.
