I'm new to this, but could temperature swings be a factor? My tank stays at 78°F, and my corals seem happy. Just a thought.

Good point. Stability is everything. If your heater's cutting out or your room temp fluctuates, that'll stress them out fast.

Also, don't forget about acclimation. If you jacked up the light too fast, they'll freak out. Gotta ease into it, like a slow sunrise.
