Floating plants like frogbit are clutch for Discus tanks. They diffuse light and suck up excess nutrients. Just don't let them cover the whole surface.

Keep an eye on nitrates. Discus are picky, and high nitrates will wreck your plants and fish. Aim for under 10ppm. If your tap water has nitrates, consider RO with remineralizer.

I've had the best luck with crypts and anubias in my Discus setup. They don't need much light and handle the heat fine. Just avoid stem plants unless you're running CO2.

My tank's got sand substrate and the plants are doing alright. Maybe switch to sand if the Eco-Complete ain't cutting it. Also, add some driftwood for tannins, Discus love that.

Yo, my Discus tank's got mad plants and they're all good. Just gotta keep the water clean and the light right. Don't overthink it, bro.
