I'm having trouble finding info on zebra gold kwangas online - can anyone help me out?
How big do zebra gold kwangas typically grow to?
What's the recommended group size for them?
What kind of diet do they need?
Are they pretty aggressive or not?
If someone's got a link to a reliable profile page for zebra gold kwangas, that'd be awesome too.

If they're similar to other Metriaclima Zebras, I'd guess they grow around 6-7 inches and have a pretty aggressive nature. Judging by the others in the same group, I think that's a fair representation, but I'm not entirely sure. Hopefully someone can confirm this for you.

Got a question for Justin, do you have these in stock? Are they F1? If you can get your hands on a quality male, I think they're one of the nicest mbuna out there. The jet black and yellow contrast is just stunning. I've seen some profiles, but like I said, they're pretty similar to most metriaclima species. They usually top out at around 6", can be a bit aggressive, and do best in groups.
Pretty much echoing what yanks just said. How's the fish keeping going? How's your tank doing, yanks?

I've got 5 reserved from Neil at Northants Malawis, just wanted to check if they'll be alright in my Saulosi tank. They're only fry at the moment, so I'll be getting them at 1" - it's pot luck if I get a male or not. If I do end up with more than one male, I'll probably sell one off. I've got a pickup arranged in about 4 weeks, along with 10 more Saulosi.
The males look incredible, but I've read they can be really aggressive, so I'm still on the fence about whether it's worth the risk.

I think the issue could be with both your saulosi and the kwanga. Saulosi are a mouthy lot, they'll show aggression but tend not to follow through. On the other hand, mbuna like the kwanga can be relentless, they won't back down till they've stressed or killed other fish in their territory. The good thing is you've already got a group of saulosi established, and by the time you get the kwanga, you should have a dominant male saulosi in place. That being said, with 20 saulosi, you're likely to end up with multiple males, so you'll need to thin them out. Maybe consider getting 5 more saulosi and then 5 kwanga? You'll want to keep an eye on the kwanga males, they'll fight each other viciously, so you'll need to thin them out quickly.

Thanks for the advice kalevi, I think I'll hold off on the kwanga for now and focus on getting the saulosi right, still got a few weeks before I get the new additions anyway.

It shouldn't take long for your males to start showing themselves, no worries.

One of mine's already kicked off, showing signs of being a male.

"Hey all, just a quick update - all is well, eating and active. Got my Nkhata Bay Labs in today and they look great, will try to get pics up in my Cyno thread soon. Now I'm thinking about the Petro. Nkhata Orange, might keep them or not, got 25 fish in a 55gal. Considering setting up a 20gal and moving them there for now, then fill it with something else later. We'll see how it goes."
