I'm absolutely smitten with my very first cichlid - he's just the best.

The Mikrogeophagus genus is really growing on me - those little fish are adorable, and their digging antics are absolutely captivating. I find myself wishing I could have some someday, it would be amazing to see that behavior in my own tank.

He's got some peaceful harlequin rasboras and a few snails to keep him company.

Nice fish. What are his tank mates? He's in my quarantine tank with 18 rosy tetras and 1 pristella tetra - I got the pristella by mistake, but it's working out. If everything goes smoothly, he'll be joining my 12 hengels rasboras in my new 280L tank by the end of next week, hopefully before the 7th. I'm planning to add more fish later on, maybe some corydoras to keep him company.
