Breeding discus pair in planted community tank! [Photos, video!]

I originally shared this in the breeding forum, but since this wasn't intentional, I'm not sure it was the right place.

Our 80-gallon tank is home to 6 adult discus, a bunch of cardinals, cories, a few ottos, a thriving cherry shrimp population, nerite snails, and two SAEs.

What's been fascinating is that two of our discus have paired up and are successfully raising a small batch of fry - 17 so far.

The behavior is quite something to see. Generally, the pair's territory is the front-right of the tank, in front of the wood, as you can see in the photos.

I've got a video link here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/fX9d8aK1So8QoUBL7

If you're interested, I can post more.

That's a wonderful sight. I've seen discus pair up in fish stores, but the fry rarely make it. Seeing them thrive with other community fish like tetras is a first for me. Congratulations on creating such a harmonious environment.
