Hey guys, me again lol. So I've been thinking about that Anacharis I found in the river near my house and the clothing factory that's been dumping chemicals into the water. I was wondering if there's a way to make it safe for my fish tank?

If there's a clothing factory dumping chemicals into the river daily, I'd personally avoid using the Anacharis in my fish tank, just to be safe.

I completely agree with boomer, not worth the risk at all.

I'd suggest trying to detox the Anacharis first. Place it in a separate container with water and let it grow outdoors for a few months. Change the water every week to flush out any remaining chemicals. Add some plant fertilizer to the water to promote healthy growth. Once the Anacharis has grown over 12 inches, take cuttings from the top - about 8 inches long should do. Rinse them thoroughly before adding them to your tank.
