care and maintenance of the amazon sword plant

I had a leaf dislodge from my Zorchzon sword and it went unnoticed by me. It was drifting in the tank for a while now - I've been meaning to take it out but got caught up and two weeks just flew by.

What's surprising is that the leaf is still green with no signs of yellowing or anything like that. I also noticed it's developed its own roots at the end of the stem, which is a first for me.

That's really interesting. Did the stem just snap off or was it more like it got pulled away from the base of the plant?

Plant it, give it some root tabs for nutrition, might just take off, especially if it's got some rhizome with it.

Exactly will do just that ... will plant it tomorrow and see how it goes seems that I need more aqua soil to top off in the main tank .

any tips on propagating them? I mean, I kind of accidentally did it. What's your usual method for cloning?

Just did 15% water change for my shrimp tank, had to since I just fed them eggshells, Paisa 13.

That's quite a lot of duckweed, I'm surprised it's not mentioned in the conversation about the Zorchzon sword.

Your tank's looking great, especially the floaters.

I've got Salvinia, Frogbit, Duckweed, and Water Lettuce all going on. Got some Betta in the small tank to keep mosquito larvae in check.

No idea how many small snails are in there, they just keep multiplying. No aeration, just a water change every two weeks. The old water's actually good for my other potted plants, so it all works out. All these floaters are thriving in the backyard.
