Choosing plants for a pleco tank

I'm looking to add some plants to one of my tanks, but I'm having trouble finding ones that can handle my pleco. I've already tried anubias, but he just destroyed the rhizome and killed the plant. I also gave some barteri a shot, but that didn't end well either. The only thing I've got in the tank right now is anacharis, and it seems to be doing alright. I'm wondering if there are any other plants out there that might be able to withstand my pleco's appetite.

I was just wondering about your anubias, FinFan - was it attached to a piece of decor or planted in the substrate? If it was in the substrate, the rhizome would likely have rotted anyway, but if it was attached to a decoration, it's possible your pleco damaged it while trying to get to the wood underneath.

Also, I think I can help you with the barteri mystery - I'm pretty sure the only plant with that name is Anubias barteri, so it's likely that's what you had.

I've got an albino BNP in my 29g tank and he's never touched my plants. He's all about the wood fiber from my driftwood and blanched cucumbers - that's his thing. No plant-eating observed here.

I was actually thinking of Bacopa, not barteri.
