A mistake was made and now what.

My kid was munching on Nerds while playing with this old rainbow gravel stuff and his toys on the table. He ended up spilling some Nerds. I figured, why waste 'em, so I picked 'em up and ate them.

Turns out, two of those "Nerds" weren't candy. Now I've got firsthand experience of what gravel tastes like – and let's just say it's not exactly the same as a sweet treat.

Glad you didn't chip a tooth on those gravel bits.

The real test comes later. When they, ah, re-emerge. That's when you'll be thinking about the whole "gravel as candy" mix-up. I've heard people talk about "s***ing bricks," but never "passing pebbles." Guess there's a reason for that.

I always thought Grape Nuts cereal would be similar to eating aquarium gravel - the texture, that is.
