I'm stumped - I think I introduced ich to my DT via an un-quarantined coral or invert, so I broke the tank down to catch the fish and give it a good cleaning. Now my rocks, corals, and inverts are hanging out in rubbermaids.

The Seriatopora, which had been looking a bit off, have made a dramatic comeback in the rubbermaids - better colors, better polyp extension, and even new growth tips. What's going on here? The rubbermaids only get ambient light, and each has a tiny 250 gph Koralia powerhead.

Is it possible I was overdoing it with the flow in the DT? That's my only guess. I use four 6095s, alternating two at a time to create a gyre. I'd always thought Seriatopora were pretty flow-tolerant, but maybe I was wrong.

I totally feel you, Astralix. Those "easy" corals can be super finicky. I've had them thrive for years, then suddenly take a nosedive despite everything looking perfect. In my experience, they seem to love a lot of flow - I'm talking polyps getting pushed firmly side to side. I've had them anywhere from 4 inches under my T5s to 10 inches down, and the only pattern I've noticed is with color intensity, which always seems to be a mystery.
