I just got my first lobo flintix9t on Friday and it's been a disaster. It's looking worse by the day - those spines on the sides are really sticking out now. I've tried everything to get it to open up and feed, but I haven't even been able to get it to extend its tentacles.

Water Parameters:
PH:8.0-8.1
Alk: 8-8.4
Calcium: 475
Magnesium: 1400

It's in a 150 gallon tank, just sitting on the bottom in the sand in a low flow area. I've got 2 reefkeeper LED units running. I'm at a loss here.

It's tough to pinpoint the issue without more info. What's your salinity and temp looking like? Any other corals in the tank or nearby that might be causing stress? How old is the tank, and what's the fish population like? There are just so many variables at play here.

That being said, my gut feeling is that this lobo was already on the decline before it even made it to your tank. I'm assuming your water parameters are solid, given what you've posted. It usually takes a coral a bit of time to start going downhill quickly, even if the parameters are slightly off. But for this lobo to look bad and just keep getting worse over six days, I think it's probably just continuing a downward spiral that started long before you got it.
