getting to know peach

My friend's recent betta purchase got me hooked again - I'm talking two weeks ago, and now I've got Peach, the koi betta. Seeing her little guy made me crave the experience, and Peach here is the biggest betta I've ever had the pleasure of owning.
His behavior's been pretty unique, especially compared to my past bettas. The guy's not super active - just cruises around at his own pace, unless something catches his eye, then it's game on. First 24 hours with him, he was obsessed with building this massive bubble nest - I mean, the second he hit the tank, he started working on it nonstop. He's loving the planted tank, just lounging on the leaves and swimming through the stems like it's his own little world.
Food-wise, he's a bit of a diva - only eats stuff that moves, so it's been Bug Bites and frozen brine shrimp for now. Flakes and blood worms just aren't doing it for him, unless I try soaking the blood worms, that is. I'm thinking he might be an older betta, maybe even used for breeding, given his size and the whole bubble nest thing. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it - either way, I'm really fond of the guy and his quirks are pretty endearing.
