Hey RC, next coral on my list is a sun coral.

I've got a pic of the spot I'm thinking of placing it - what do you guys think, good spot or not?

Tank's still a work in progress, just 8 months old, but everything's going well so far.

That could work, but they're generally found in the wild under an overhang, away from direct light. My sun corals do alright with partial lighting, but if you want to create a more natural environment, consider adding more rockwork to create shaded areas. Keep in mind that this will require regular feeding, ideally several times a week or even daily, as you'll need to target each polyp individually.
