Got a bunch of Corydora fry in my 20 gallon tank. What's the best way to keep 'em alive? Tank's got sand substrate, sponge filter, and a bunch of Java moss. Water params are good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate. Fry are about a week old.

First off, congrats on the fry! You're gonna wanna feed 'em tiny foods like baby brine shrimp or microworms. They're super tiny, so regular flakes won't cut it. Also, keep the water clean with small, frequent water changes, like 10% every couple days. Sand's perfect for 'em, so you're good there.

I've raised hundreds of Corydora fry. The key is consistent feeding and pristine water. Feed them 3-4 times a day with live foods or powdered fry food. Use a turkey baster to target feed if needed. Keep the temp stable at 78°F and avoid strong currents. They'll thrive if you stay on top of it.

Yep, what they said. Also, watch out for any bigger fish in the tank. Even small tetras might pick at the fry. If you can, move 'em to a separate grow-out tank. It's way easier to control the environment and keep 'em safe.

I've had success with Hikari First Bites. It's super fine and perfect for tiny mouths. Just sprinkle a tiny bit and watch 'em go nuts. Also, keep the lights dim for the first few weeks. They seem to do better with less stress.

No prob! Let us know how it goes. Oh, and if you can't find live food, frozen cyclops works too. Just thaw it first.

One more thing: avoid overfeeding. It's tempting to dump in extra food, but that'll just mess with your water quality. Stick to small amounts and remove any uneaten food after 15-20 minutes.

Yeah, overfeeding's a killer. I learned that the hard way. Lost a whole batch once because I got too excited and dumped in too much food. Tank went cloudy overnight, and boom, fry were gone.

That's rough. I've been there too. It's all about balance, right? Tiny amounts, often, and keep it clean.
