the fish are housed in my 100 gallon tanks, as mentioned in my sig.
also, are they safe for a reef setup

copper bands can be a handful to feed, most people do keep them in reef tanks but they're notorious for picking at tube worms and such. I've had my fair share, all were fine but unfortunately starved to death, haven't had one in 4 years.

mainly after them for aptasia control, had a bunch of issues with those pests. tried aptasia x, joes juice, lemon juice, even got a couple peppermint shrimp but they're not doing the trick. also tried torching them but they just keep coming back. would copperbands be alright with my stock from my sig and in my tank? if so, might look into finding one that eats frozen too.

You could try a filefish, they're good for aiptasia. Copperbands are alright, I'd go for it, mate.

filefish aren't exactly reef safe tho, so bit unsure, but yeah might try gettin a copperband instead

ya got nothin to worry about m8, i've had 3 file fish in me reef tank for ages, another in me other reef tank, never had any issues, go for the copperband, it'll sort out yer aiptasia problem, regards scott

either a normal or tassled file fish would do, but to be honest, a copperband is still my top choice

Copperbands aren't the easiest to keep alive, to be honest. They're generally alright in a reef setup but do have a thing for fan worms and feather dusters.

should i get a file fish or not, worried about my coflakes tho

I've always fancied a copperband, but their eating issues put me off. I was wondering if getting a smaller one, a juvie, might make a difference? Has anyone here had any luck with them?

ps Bae, how many peppermints you got? I've heard you need a few to tackle the aiptasia - I've got two, but just spotted a small patch on a rock and they're not interested, thinking of getting some more.
