I'm getting ready to start stocking my 55 gallon African Cichlid tank and I'd love some feedback on my list. Here's what I'm thinking...
*4-5 yellow labs - I've heard they're pretty peaceful, so I'm hoping they'll work out.
*1 Male Jalo Reef - I've always liked these guys, and I think one would be a good addition.
*4 Snow White Socolofi - I've read they can be a bit territorial, so I'm a bit worried about that.
*6 Demasoni - I know some people have had issues with these guys being aggressive, but I'm hoping with the right tankmates, it'll be okay.

Community tanks for all except the Jalo Reef. No clue about Malawi/Tanganika cichlids here, just wondering, should this guy be solo?

From what I've read, Jalo Reef can be kept with others of the same kind, but I only planned for one since I know I need groups of Labs and Demasoni due to aggression. Don't wanna overdo it on the stocking levels.

Honestly, I think you should consider dropping one species to avoid overstocking. For the rest, I'd suggest keeping groups of 1 male to 4 females for most species, except for Demasoni - for those, I'd go with 1 male to 11 females.
