Can I keep Torch coral with Frogspawn?

I've got a 75-gallon mixed reef with a pair of clowns and a cleanup crew. Just picked up a Torch and Frogspawn, but I'm hearing mixed things about keeping them close. Anyone got experience with these two in the same tank? My params are stable, 1.025 salinity, 78°F, and I run Radion XR15s.

Yep, you can keep them together, but give 'em space. Torches pack a mean sting, and Frogspawn can get aggressive too. I've got mine about 6 inches apart in my 120-gallon, and they've been chill for over a year. Just watch for any weird vibes at night when they extend.

Agree with Rusty. I've seen my Torch sweepers reach out 4 inches at night. If they're too close, one's gonna get messed up. What's your flow like? Moderate indirect flow works best for both, keeps 'em happy without pissing 'em off.

My Frogspawn killed a Duncan that got too close, so I'd be careful. Torches are even more aggressive. Maybe start with them on opposite sides of the tank and see how they react? Also, what's your alk at? Stable alk is key for both.

That's solid advice. I'd add that you should monitor their extension patterns. If either starts retracting during the day, it's a sign they're stressed.

I've got both in my nano, but they're tiny frags. Even then, I had to move the Torch after it started stinging my Zoas. If you're gonna try it, keep an eye on 'em for the first few weeks. Also, what's your nitrate level? High nitrates can make 'em more aggressive.

Torches are sketchy neighbors, man. My Frogspawn got wrecked by one in my old tank. If you're dead set on it, maybe use a frag rack to test the distance first. Also, what's your lighting schedule? Too much light can piss 'em off too.

I've never had issues, but my tank's packed with softies, so maybe they're distracted. How often do you feed? Spot feeding might help keep 'em from getting territorial. I use Reef Roids twice a week.

It's possible, but risky. I'd err on the side of caution and keep them separated. What's your calcium at? Both need stable calcium to thrive, and swings can make 'em cranky.

Flow's huge. I run MP40s at 30% and my Torch and Frogspawn are fine, but they're on opposite ends. Also, what sand are you using? Some substrates can irritate 'em.
