Just got back from Petco, wife picked up some awesome additions for the tank - three of them, can't wait to see them thrive.

That's one heck of a score. I'm pretty sure those are Frontosas, right? What was the damage, how much did your wife pay for them?

Yeah, 11.95, what a steal. The kid was a bit put off, even called the manager over, guess he wasn't too thrilled about having to make the trip.

Lost one early on, unfortunately. The other two are thriving, though. Peacock's growing well, it's already 5 inches.

Those are some beautiful fish you've got there. I managed to snag one from my local pet store too. I had called dibs on a few when their breeding group spawned, but the owner got a bit possessive and decided to keep all the fry for himself. Luckily, he overlooked one, and it ended up in the mixed African tank. It was tiny at first, but now it's grown to about 2-2.5 inches. I'm still hesitant to add it to my main tank, though - I've got a blue ahli that's notorious for devouring smaller fish. That thing's a menace, it wiped out nearly all my 2-inch OB peacocks.
