Hi, I'm curious about keeping Panther Groupers in aquariums with lower temperatures - specifically around 70°F, rather than the recommended 73°F.

I think you're a bit on the chilly side, but you should be alright, but fluxx? Also, hopefully you've got a massive tank, we're talking 150-300 gallons, 'cause these fish get huge and need loads of space to be happy.

You're thinking 150-300 gallons is big, but trust me, that's not even close. I'm talking about a massive tank, something like 3,590 gallons. That's the kind of space a Panther Grouper really needs to thrive.

Don't go spreading your wild ideas around here just yet, Goby. Get the tank up and running first, then you can come asking questions.

I thought you said you'd left the forum, now you're back pestering people with your tank sizes and whatnot, 3,590 gallons is just ridiculous, just build the thing first and ask questions later, geez.

It'll likely do okay at 70°F, but honestly, it's best to stick with the recommended temp for Panther Groupers.

a tank that massive will need an incredibly sturdy floor to support it, or it'll be a recipe for disaster
