choosing plants for my tanganyikan tank

Hey everyone,
I'm thinking of adding some new plants to my Tang tank and I'd love to get some advice.
My tank's parameters are:
Lake Tanganyika species: 7.8 – 9.0
Geneflake hardness ranging from 160 – 320 ppm
Carbonate hardness range of 180 – 240 ppm
I'm considering Vallisneria sp. and I've seen it in other Tang tanks, so I'm not too worried about it - plus it's pretty cheap.
However, I'm on the fence about Lilaeopsis brasiliensis. I've read up on it and it seems like it might work in a Tang tank, but I don't want to waste my money on a gamble. Has anyone had any experience with this plant?
