how many cichlids do you think would thrive in that aquarium setup

currently I have 13 mixed cichlids in my 3 foot tank

What types of cichlids do you have in your 3 footer?

I've got 4 Electric Blue Cichlids, 3 Electric Yellow ones, 2 Zebra Cichlids, and 4 Cynotilapia Afra cichlids - just trying to boost the numbers on some of these.

African cichlids, nice. Rio 400's a decent tank, filtration and species depending, I'd say 30 to 45 is doable, easily.

+1, thanks for the info, 30-45 sounds like a good number for the rio 400, african cichlids can thrive with proper filtration and care
