My Acropora's got white band disease, and it's spreading fast. Tried dipping in Revive, but no luck. Anyone got a surefire way to stop it before it wipes out my whole tank? Tank's a 75g, parameters are stable, 78F, 1.025 salinity, running a Reef Octopus skimmer.

White band's nasty stuff. First, isolate the affected coral if you can. I've had success with a combo of iodine dips and boosting water flow. What's your nitrate level? High nutrients can make it worse. Also, check for any pests like flatworms stressing them out.

Agree on the flow, but CoralRx ain't strong enough for white band. Try Lugol's iodine at 12 drops per gallon for 10 minutes. And yeah, chop the dead bits, but sterilize your tools after with hydrogen peroxide.

White band's usually bacterial, so antibiotics might help. I've used Erythromycin in a separate tank with some success. Also, make sure your lighting isn't too intense—stressed corals are more susceptible. What's your PAR at?

This might sound weird, but have you tried garlic extract? I soaked my coral's food in it, and the disease slowed down. Not sure if it was luck or science, but worth a shot if you're desperate. Also, double-check your magnesium levels—low Mg can weaken their immune system.

Quarantine's smart, but Metroplex is hit or miss. I'd pair it with Kanaplex for broader coverage. And yeah, alk swings can stress them out—test daily if you're fighting disease.

This disease is brutal. I'd recommend a full blackout for 48 hours after the iodine dip. Reduce light intensity by 50% afterward for a week. Also, what's your calcium at? Stable Ca and alk are critical for recovery.
