I've got a serious Aiptasia problem in my 75-gallon reef tank. Tried peppermint shrimp but they didn't touch it. What's the most effective method you've used?

I've had success with Aiptasia-X. It's a bit tedious but works if you apply it directly to the mouth. Just make sure your flow is off for about 10 minutes after application.

Dude, I feel your pain. Those things are like the cockroaches of the reef tank. I used a laser, but it's sketchy if you're not careful. Gotta zap 'em quick before they retract.

Aiptasia-X is effective, but for a more natural approach, consider Berghia nudibranchs. They're specialized predators and will clear your tank if given time. Just ensure no predators are present.

I've heard mixed things about peppermint shrimp. Some folks swear by 'em, others say they're hit or miss. Maybe try a different batch?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give Aiptasia-X a shot first and see how it goes.

Just remember to follow the instructions closely. Over-application can stress your corals.

LOL, I once tried boiling water in a syringe. Worked kinda okay but looked like I was performing some weird science experiment. My fish were not impressed.

I've used a copperband butterflyfish with good results. Took a few weeks, but they cleared my tank. Just make sure your other fish are compatible.

Manual removal with a scalpel works if you're patient. Cut the base and siphon out the pieces. It's time-consuming but effective.
