exploring river rocks

I'm after river rocks in various sizes for a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft tank. I know what you're thinking - go to a river, but unfortunately I don't have that luxury. I was thinking garden centres might be a good place to start. I've seen a tank online that has the type of stones I'm looking for - check it out: http/www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9hmwW4pDCU&fea ... ata_player. Any suggestions or advice would be really appreciated.

Garden centres are a good shout. You're not too far from Wales, are you? I'm guessing you're in a hilly area, you might be able to find some for free. There's usually large rocks just lying around by mountain streams and that.

Not too far, but I'm stuck without a car, so unless I can convince a mate to take me on a rock-hunting mission, I'm out of luck - I'd love to, but they'd think I've gone crazy.

You could try using Cotswold stone from a local builders merchant, I'm actually thinking of swapping my ocean rock for this, it's a great price at only £3 each for some really large pieces.
