What's the ideal salinity for LPS like Torches and Hammers? Running mine at 1.025 but heard some folks push it higher. Got a mixed reef, 75g, running Radions, 0 nitrates, 5ppm calc.

Stick with 1.025. LPS don't need the stress of swinging params. My Euphyllias thrive there, 80g tank, 78F, weekly 10% changes. Higher salinity just risks osmotic shock.

Mine are at 1.026, but honestly, I just copied my LFS. They seem fine? Tank's 50g, AI Primes, feed reef roids twice a week. Maybe I should test more.

Consistency matters more than the exact number. If your corals are happy, don't mess with it. My Duncanopsammia exploded at 1.025, same as my Acans. 120g, Triton method.

1.025–1.026 is the sweet spot. LPS aren't as picky as SPS, but stability is key. I run 1.026 in my 200g, Red Sea salt, dosing alk daily. Any higher and you risk burning tips.

My Frogspawn hates anything above 1.025. Melted two heads last time I tried 1.027. Back to 1.025 now, 40g cube, Kessils, no issues since. Weird, right?

Agree with trackerboy. 1.025 is chill for LPS. My Blastos and Favias are thriving there, 55g, T5s, salinity swings are sketchy. Keep it steady with an ATO.

Thanks for the input, everyone. Gonna lock in at 1.025 and stop overthinking it. Appreciate the real-world experiences.

Not weird at all. Frogspawn are drama queens. Even small swings can trigger melt. Stick to what works, and never chase numbers blindly.

Exactly. My rule is: if it's growing and colored up, don't fix what ain't broke. 1.025 is the baseline for a reason. Even my finicky Goniopora does fine there.
