Still working on the tank, it's better but I can see some areas for improvement. We've also got a new addition, our Betta Abraham Lincoln - the name just seemed fitting with those striking red, white and blue colours.

I'd love to see some floating plants in there to give Abraham Lincoln a bit more comfort, you know, make him feel like he's swimming in a real American paradise.

Your tank looks great, the setup is really nice. Abraham Lincoln is a stunning betta, love the colors. The plants are a lovely touch, they really add to the overall aesthetic.

The tank's looking great, nice setup. One thing I'd suggest is adding some floating plants - it'd make the environment more comfortable for your Betta. They've got a natural instinct to be cautious of predators from above, so having some floaters would provide a sense of security. Even if you're not planning to breed, it might just make Abraham Lincoln feel at ease enough to build a bubble nest.

Consider adding some water lettuce or water sprite on the surface, it's fantastic for maintaining good water quality and providing your betta with some shade, which can help alleviate his natural wariness of predators. Be mindful of your betta's tendency to squeeze into tight spaces. Many owners have shared their experiences of having to carefully dismantle decorations to rescue their stuck betta.

Are those ornaments safe for Abraham Lincoln, or should I be concerned about him getting stuck?

It really comes down to the size of the openings in those ornaments. If they're either too small for Abraham Lincoln to fit into or large enough for him to swim through comfortably, you should be fine. However, if the holes are just slightly smaller than his body, there's a risk of him getting stuck.
