My convict cichlids are constantly on each other's tail - literally. They're chasing each other nonstop.

They're very territorial, that's why they're chasing each other.

I had to separate my pair due to their intense fighting, and ultimately, I had to rehome them as they continued to harass the other fish even when kept apart.
