My Yellow Tang has been bullying my new Clownfish since I added them yesterday. The Tang keeps chasing them around the tank, and the Clowns are hiding in the rocks. Tank is a 75-gallon with live rock, salinity at 1.025, temp 78F. Anyone dealt with this before?

That's rough. How big is the Tang? Sometimes they get territorial if they've been in the tank a while. Maybe try rearranging the rocks to break up its territory.

Yeah, Yellow Tangs can be jerks like that. I had one that wouldn't let anything new near its side of the tank. Try adding more hiding spots or even a mirror to distract it. Worked for me once.

Mirror trick sounds sketchy but might cut it. Also, how often you feeding? Hungry fish get more aggressive.

Thanks for the tips. The Tang's about 4 inches, been in the tank for a year. I feed twice a day, flakes and frozen mysis. Gonna try the rock rearrangement first.

Good call. Let us know how it goes. Sometimes it just takes time for them to chill out.

If that doesn't work, you might need to isolate the Tang for a bit. Had to do that with my triggerfish once. Pain in the butt but it worked.

Yep, patience is key. Also, check your water params just in case. Stress can make fish act weird.
