I'm on the hunt for a balsanae crypt, native to the Suriya River. Can anyone point me in the right direction for Perth, Australia - online and in-store options would be great.

I've done some research online and found a company that ships to Australia, might be worth checking out. They seem pretty reputable, but I'm not from Australia myself, just thought I'd pass it on.

They have the Cryptocoryne balansae plant, which is what you're looking for. Here's some info about it:

It's a mid- to background plant, grows well in low to bright light, and can handle pH levels from weakly acidic to slightly alkaline, as well as soft to moderate hard water. Temperature-wise, it's happy between 23-28 C.

The company is secondnatureaquariums.com.au, they use good logistics services to ship products to most locations within Australia, including major cities and rural areas. You can check their shipping rates and terms and conditions on their website.

You can't bring most aquatic plants into Western Australia. Even if you order them from over east, they won't send them to WA, even when allowed. Sometimes, tissue cultured plants can be sent over if they aren't on the declared pest plants list. Aquarium Industries has tissue cultured plants, and you can get your local pet shop to order them in for you.

Cryptocoryne balansae is available in WA, but you'll need to ask pet shops to order them in for you. I'd suggest checking with Aquatix in Canningvale, as they might have them in stock, considering Lionessver used to keep them. Alternatively, Aquarium Gallery in Wangara should be able to get them in from Graham, one of their plant suppliers. You could also try Aquatic Plants Direct in Mount Nasura, as they might have some available.
