Who Gives A Fish Forums

I've got a kenyi cichlid actin a lil strange. I fed my fish the other day and she wasn't eatin, her throat was all swollen like she had eggs in her mouth. So I moved her to my breeder box, and after 15 mins she looked normal. I left her in there for 24 hrs to watch her, then monday afternoon I let her back in the tank. I noticed it's only when I feed 'em that she does this. She'll swim real fast, take one mouthful, and go hide under the rocks and plants, and her mouth'll be all swollen again like she's got eggs or fry in her mouth. Then it goes away after like 15 mins. You think she's havin trouble swallowin the food? Or maybe there's a few fry/eggs in her mouth and she's tryin to eat around 'em?

My kenyi cichlids do this too, especially when I feed them, they'll take in a lot of NLS at once like they're storing it for later, sometimes it looks like they're holding food in their mouths.
