i was just thinking, would it be okay to put kribs with corydoras. i've heard mixed things - some people said it was fine, but others said the kribs ended up attacking the corys.

If you're considering keeping a sexed pair of Kribs with Corydoras, I'd strongly advise against it. The Corys will inevitably wander into the Kribs' territory, and the parents will fiercely defend their young, targeting anything within a 15cm radius.

My own experience with a complex setup in my 6-foot African tank might be relevant. I had a female Blockhead that 'divorced' her breeding partner in January, only to 'marry' the larger male and produce fry about 4 weeks ago. The Synodontis and Euchilichthys were forced to occupy the right half of the tank by the Steatocranus parents and the 'ex-husband', while the 'wife' now spends her time in the centflake area. The fish in this setup are mostly around 12cm SL, except for my notata, which is a sturdy 22cm. It's been a challenging environment, but the catfish have proven to be remarkably resilient. In comparison, Corydoras species are relatively fragile.

just found another case where someone kept corys with kribs, and surprisingly the corys were the bullies, even picking on the krib fry.
