Who Gives A Fish Forums

Setting up a 29 or 55 gallon aquarium, I'm thinking of keeping just 2 cichlids - a male and female pair of a specific type, like demansoni, frontosa, or even venustus. Would they take care of the fry, or would they eat them after a few days or weeks?

The female might be alright for a bit, but the male will likely see the fry as a snack.
