A better filter for my betta

I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right spot, but I'm looking to switch my betta's filter from a hang-on-back to a sponge filter. I think the current one is just too powerful and I don't want to stress him out even more. Can anyone give me some advice on how to make the change without giving him a huge shock?

I'd recommend setting up the sponge filter alongside your existing HOB for about a month. This way, the beneficial bacteria can colonize the new filter, minimizing disruption to your tank's ecosystem. Once the sponge filter is established, you can safely remove the HOB. After making the switch, keep a close eye on your water parameters for a few days to ensure the cycle remains stable.

Yeah no kidding, was just about to say the same thing. Just do what FinFan said, pretty straightforward.
