Re: bacterial starters?

I've seen this product get a lot of recommendations - MICROBE-LIFT NITE OUT II.

Microbe-Lift Nite Out II 16 oz

This stuff's supposed to be good for keeping your aquarium safe. It's got a liquid nitrifying bacterial formula with nitrosomonas, nitrospira and nitrobacto strains that helps convert nitrite to nitrate.

I'd recommend products from Dr. Tim's Aquatics, they're excellent. Developed from his Ph.D. dissertation on nitrogen cycling in both salt and fresh water aquaria, they're well-researched.

I've personally had a lot of luck with Seachem Stability. It's been a reliable choice for me, and I appreciate its effectiveness in establishing a healthy balance in my tank.

Re: bacterial starters?

I've had a positive experience with Seachem Stability, and I'd definitely recommend it. Another option I've tried is Fritz Zyme 7 - it worked well for me a couple of times, but unfortunately, the third time was a disaster and I nearly lost my entire discus collection. Needless to say, I won't be using it again.
