My top picks would be Cyprichromis leptosoma and Paracyprichromis nigripinnis, I just love how peaceful they are and they thrive in groups.
The Ophthalmotilapia ventralis and furcifer are also high on my list, their calm nature, unique body shape, and stunning fins and colour really stand out.
Goby cichlids are another favourite of mine, their shape and behaviour are so fascinating. I'm also quite fond of Eretmodus cyanostictus, Spathodus erythrodon, Spathodus marlieri and Tanganicodus irsacae.

I've got a soft spot for yellow labs - gorgeous, and they're not as aggressive as some of the other mbuna I've kept.

She didn't specify they had to be pics of my own fish, I can find some examples online.

No need for it to be your own fish, just any pics will do. And, btw, I'm a 'he', Amy's my wife, username's just a bit of fun to keep things interesting lol

Yellow labs, no question. I've seen them thrive in setups with limestone substrate and rainwater, even the fry do well.

No worries, just a minor mistake.

I've always been drawn to Neolamprologus Brichardi. The vibrant colors and elaborate fins really make them stand out. What I find particularly fascinating is their unique family structure - the way older batches of fry take care of the younger ones is truly remarkable.

I'm loving the setup you've got for your yellows, always been a fan of them myself. The limestone substrate and rainwater supply seems to be working wonders. That green algae covering the tank looks amazing, I'm sure the fish are making the most of it. What's the tank size, if you don't mind me asking?
